Open Enrollment for 2021 started November 1st, 2020—but it’s hard to get the word out when there’s so much to compete with in the news during the first week of November! If you take a look at the Google Trends on November 1st, you will see that 2 times more people searched for “COVID-19” than they are searching for “health insurance”!
If you or someone you know needs insurance—right now is the time to act! There isn’t much you can do outside of this period, and with a pandemic still spreading across the world it becomes essential to have health coverage just in case you need medical attention! You do not want to without health insurance if you had to be hospitalized—the costs are astronomical!
Remember that the coverage you are enrolling for won’t start until January 1st, 2021! If you decide to skip this enrollment period there are only a few scenarios that will allow you to enroll in a health insurance plan: Having a child, moving, getting married, adopting a child, or losing your current coverage!
